| DDC B’gam conducts tour of Beerwah, takes stock of post snowfall situation | | Budgam, January 11 (Scoop News)-District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahabaz Ahmed Mirza today took an extensive tour of Sub Division Beerwah to have an on spot assessment of the post snowfall situation.
The DDC on the occasion was briefed that snow clearance operation is almost completed in all areas and presently there is no complaint of any disruptions on account of snow clearance. It was also given out that the municipality has almost cleared snow from all the inner link roads.
Regarding the power supply, the DDC was apprised that it has been restored in all areas barring some villages where due to damage of transformer supply is yet to be restored.
During the visit, the DDC convened a public interaction meet at SDM headquarters attended by a large gathering of local inhabitants.
During the interaction, the issue of water supply was also raised. The DDC assured people that the PHE Department will put all efforts together on war footing to restore water supply to all areas facing scarcity immediately.
The DDC during the visit inspected SDH Beerwah and ascertained from the inmates about medical facilities available in SDH. He personally inspected all wards and interacted with patients admitted.
He also assured the general public that administration is always behind them when it is required and hailed the efforts of all concerned departments showing tremendous resilience in the hour of crisis through their relentless efforts and desire to deliver and make it possible to restore all essentials within the shortest possible time.
The DDC during the visit was accompanied by SDM Beerwah, Ex. Engineer R&B, PHE and Tehsildar Beerwah.
