National Painters' Camp at Mansar concludes | | Jammu, February 28 (Scoop News)-Three days' National Painters' Camp organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Lamguages, supported by J&K Tourism Department, Jammu, at J&K Tourist Complex, Mansar Lake (Samba, J&K), concluded today. A valedictory ceremony was organized where Sh. Muneer- ul- Islam KAS, Secretary, J&K Academy of Art & Culture, was the chief guest. Ten well known senior and young artists from different parts of the country participated in this camp. Sh. Munee- ul- Islam had a round of the art works created in the camp and interacted with the participating artists. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the artists are the messengers of peace and unite people. He appreciated the efforts of JKCCA for promoting artv & culture from a long time. Earlier Sh. O P Sharma, Director, J&K Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu welcomed the diginatories, artiats and invited guests. He emphasized on the role of JKCCA in promoting art & culture in the region. He also thanked the artists, JKAACL and J&K Tourism Deptt., Jammu for their cooperation in making the event successful. It may be mentioned here that JKCCA was established way back in 1999 to promote, preserve and propagate the splendid art heritage of Jammu & Kashmir. The artists who participated in the camp included Alphe Kumar (NewDelhi), K S Gill and Dharminder Sharma (Amritsar), Archana Choudhary (Madhubani), Deepika (Pathankot), Tariq Saifi (Surankot, Poonch), Jang S. Verman, Ashok Mehra, Anil Saraf and Deepa Soni (Jammu). The camp which was inaugurated by Jang S. Verman, a well known senior artist of Jammu on 26th February, 2021, was curated by Sh. O P Sharma, a senior & renowned artist & Director, JKCCA, Jammu.
