| Ramadan, Navratra arrangements finalised at Doda | | DDC stresses on adherence to Covid-19 SOPs | Doda, April 10 (Scoop News)- District Development Commissioner (DDC), Doda, Vikas Sharma today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review and finalize the arrangements for ensuing holy month of Ramadan and Navratra festival.
The Senior Superintendent Police, Superintendent Police operations, Assistant Superintendent Police, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner (R), Chief Medical Officer and other officers, besides MC Councillors, representatives of religious organizations, Traders Unions and other stakeholders attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the DDC instructed the officers and stakeholders to ensure strict adherence as well as implementation of Covid-19 SOPs at all religious places, and public places including market areas.
The DDC directed the CMO to intensify the Covid-19 testing of vulnerable shopkeepers, including barbers, Vegetable sellers, mutton and chicken sellers, grocery store owners on priority basis. He further asked all the stakeholders as well as executive agencies to generate mass awareness regarding Covid SOPs, which includes wearing of face mask, maintaining social distance, avoiding gatherings. He asked enforcement agencies to impose fine on those found violating the protocols, besides hoarders, black marketers and those caught overcharging.
The DC also asked the service provider departments to make adequate arrangements for adequate water supply, power supply especially at the Sehri and Iftar times.
Emphasizing on the sanitation of towns and municipal areas, the DDC directed Executive officers to ensure cleanliness in the district with focus on roads, lanes, drains and regular lifting of wastage from markets.
The DDC assured the participants that all the necessary measures shall be taken into account to end the congestion issue in Doda town, and seeks support from them also.
