| Handwara Police seizes 06 vehicles for transportation of illegally mined materials | |
Srinagar, June 12 (Scoop News)- Police in Handwara along with teams of Geology and Mining Department have seized six vehicles involved in transportation of illegally mined materials in Handwara.
On specific information, a Police Party from Police Post Langate along with teams of Geology and Mining Department seized six vehicles for transportation of illegally mined materials in Govt land at Nalla Mawar.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in concerned police stations and investigation has been taken up.
Police requests the people not to indulge in illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
