| Covid-19 Lockdown violations: 5943 violators fined, 26 persons arrested & 07 FIRs registered | |
Srinagar, June 12 (Scoop News)- Continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of 2nd wave of Coronavirus, J&K Police have enhanced its efforts to sensitise the masses about controlling the highly contagious Coronavirus. During the last 24hrs, Police have arrested 26 persons, lodged 07 FIRs and also realized fine to the tune of ₹11,18,100/- from 5943 people throughout the Kashmir valley for violating the various guidelines/rules/SOPs regarding Covid-19. Besides, 14 vehicles were also seized for violating Covid norms in district Shopian.
On the directions of SSP Kupwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, Kupwara Police launched a special drive and distributed Face Masks among general Public in its jurisdictional Police Stations and Police Posts through concerned SHOs and In-charge PPs. People in the areas were advised to follow Covid- 19 guidelines and were also made aware about the symptoms of virus.
The special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic.
Community members are once again requested to cooperate with the Police in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/protocols for their own safety and for the safety of others. The special drive shall continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures.
