Jammu,September 30 (Scoop News)- The Congress Party will continue to oppose and fight against policies detrimental to interests of people and continue to work for the wellbeing despite facing wrong narrative set by the BJP in the country. JKPCC Working President asserted that BJP Govt is punishing people under the garb of inflation and many other wrong policies have thrust upon the them citing different reasons, which have no basis. Centre Govt has failed on every count, betrayed people on account of inflation, unemployment and lack of development and various other issues confronting people.Bhalla said the matter of the fact remains that BJP Govt is doing everything for electoral gains only, so people need to realize their emotions and sufferings have no meaning for BJP Govt, they must rise to occasion to give befitting reply to it (BJP) in coming times, which is the only way to register anger and protest against the Centre’s anti- people policies. "These policies will continue to remain a big source behind the disappointment and anguish among the people, "he said.

Bhalla said unemployment is at its peak, inflation has pushed people to further backwardness, developmental scenario has received severe setbacks, besides absence of popular Govt in J&K has disconnected people completely while adding woes to them.BJP Govt is talking about democratic rights of people, but J&K is exception, where democracy has been uprooted and people left at the mercy of Bureaucracy. Centre Govt must take effective measures to restore democratic rights in J&K instead of debating or making tall claims on democracy which doesn’t suit given their attitude towards J&K, Bhalla added. He alleged that the government will not be able to see inflation as it is wearing the "blindfolds of arrogance" and selling the country's property in "free fund" to friends.

Addressing aggrieved people, Bhalla said, "Don't consider yourself alone, the Congress is your voice, and you are Congress' strength. We have to fight with every decree of the dictator, every attempt to suppress the voice of the people." "For you, the Congress party and myself have been fighting, and will continue to fight. You know very well which issues need to be discussed in the country today because every wrong policy of the government is affecting your life," he said. Today's reality is that the common person is struggling not just for his dreams but for his daily bread, he alleged. Former Minister urged people of J&K to support Congress to fight together against the "wrong" policies of the BJP-led Union government. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir had witnessed the worst due to the wrong policies adopted by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at New Delhi.

Bhalla urged people of J&K to reject pro-rich and anti-youth, anti-farmers and anti-poor BJP for ensuring peace and prosperity in the region. He further said that enthusiasm amongst people reflects anti-BJP mood as people are fed up with hollow slogans and lack of development in the areas. He said that Congress has been on fore front to oppose anti- people policies being imposed on people through bureaucrats, as there is no elected Government in J&K for last three and half years. He reiterated that Congress will fight for cause of Jammuities besides restoring lost honour of J&K. He also criticized BJP for its negative policies which have made lives of people miserable in J&K.

Alleging that Jammu and Kashmir has suffered the most under the BJP regime, Bhalla asserted that in the run-up to the assembly elections, the Congress will intensify its ideological fight against BJP and its policies towards the union territory. He claimed that so far BJP rule has been of “mismanagement, immense despair and agony” and the country today stands at a stage where the common people are suffering from the wounds inflicted by the government whereas Congress has been continuing its efforts to listen to grievances of aggrieved people in various areas of J&K.
