Yudhvir participates in Dangal at village Pargalta, Block Dansal | | Jammu, October 03 (Scoop News)-J&K BJP Vice President Yudhvir Sethi on Sunday complimented wrestlers for keeping the traditional and most thrilling sport of yesteryears alive, hoping wrestling to regain its lost space given the enthusiasm among youngsters. “In an era of cricket, interest for wrestling is amazing and encouraging”, Sethi said while addressing the gathering after felicitating the wrestlers achieving distinction in the breathtaking event of Dangal here this evening. A mega Dangal was organized at Malori Jagir, village Pargalta, Block Dansal, District Jammu in which Yudhvir Sethi and Dr Uttam Singh were the main guests. Pahalwan Vijay Sharma, Pahalwan Malori Sadiq Domana and other wresters participated in the Dangal. The senior BJP leader called for governmental encouragement and recognition to youth evincing immense interest in the competitions like wrestling, saying it continues to remain a passion for its practitioners and fans whose number is substantial, notwithstanding the challenge being posed by other popular games. “The enthusiasm among fans is equally reassuring and reflective of the fact that the game still holds big promise for talented youth”, he said. Sethi lauded the relentless efforts of the Dangal Organizing Committee comprising Vijay Sharma, Babi Kumar, Gorav Sharma, Rajeshwar Singh, Vijay Kumar, Ajeet Singh and Ranjeet Singh for making the event live and breath-taking by putting in their best in the competition. He said that developing sports culture among the young minds is necessary for the overall development of one’s personality. Asserting that sports holds key to healthy body and a healthy mind, he urged the youth to make sports an inseparable part of their daily routine in life.
