Govt.Polytechnic Jammu organized Poster Making Competition to observe World AIDS Day

Jammu, December 01, (Scoop News)-Red Ribbon Club of Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control society today organized a Poster making competition in the institution to commemorate the Worlds AIDS Day. More than 50 students participated in the poster making competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and expressed their thought through posters. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt. Polytechnic Jammu interacted with the students and educate them regarding how to combat with the disease. The theme of the competition was Equalize: Achieving equality to end HIV.
The main aim for the event was to make the students aware that HIV continues to be global health concern due to a number of shortcomings, including division, inequality and contempt for human rights and we need to aware the masses of the same. Taniya Nanda 3rd semester Mechanical Engineering got first prize, Rajeshwar Singh of Architecture Assistantship got second prize and Manveen Kour 3rd semester Mechanical Engineering got third prize. The programme was organized under the supervision of faculty of college Sanam Gupta, Sakshi kapahi, Irfan Rasool, Janeeta, Itika, Suresh Kumar, Kamal Kumar and Akash Dasgotra, the members of Red Ribbon Club.
