Grand Milad-u-Nabi (SAW) celebrations organized in Budgam

Srinagar, March 26 (Scoop News) - A grand Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebration was organised in Laterihal, Khansahib, Budgam, the other day. The Milad (SAW) celebration was attended by 20 thousand of devotees of Prophet (SAW).
The function was attended by the scholars, intellectuals, ulemas, respected citizens and addressed the sacred gathering. Among those who spoke on the occasion include Sajada Nisheen Dargah Gousia, Khanyar, Mir Syed Khalid Geelani, Director Information Khawaja Farooq Renzushah, District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Mohammad Rafi, General Secretary, Anjuman-i-Ulema-i-Ahnaf, Maulana Akhzar, Mirwaiz Central Kashmir, Peerzada Maulana Lateef, Chairman Haqani Memorial Trust, Syed Hamid Haqani, representatives of Sufi Organisations, Saut-ul-Auliya, General Secretary, Jamiat-i-Hamdania, Bashir Ahmad Kanth.
Addressing the sacred gathering the DDC Budgam underscored the moral teachings of Aulia-i-Kiram. He also recited Naat-i-Sharief on the occasion which received standing ovations from the audience.
Director Information, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah on this occasion said that Islam is a religion of love and harmony. He said that Hazrat Bulbul Shah (RA) spread the philosophy of love and light in this land of natural splendour and with the help of the then King of Kashmir Hazrat Renchenshah (RA) who embraced Islam and was renamed as Sader-u-Din by this great spiritual saint and whose contribution to Islam would be remembered and in the annuals of Kashmir history. He reached out to needy and provided succour to the ailing hearts and aching souls with his message of love and brotherhood.
Allama Maulana Lateef while speaking on the occasion said that Sheikh-ul-Alam, Sheikh Noor-ud-Din (RA) has meditated in various parts of the Budgam. He said that during Khawaja Renzushah’s stint at Budgam as District Development Commissioner, Srinagar Airport was named after the great saint of Kashmir as Sheikh-ul-Alam Airport and even signboards were installed there as a mark of respect and reverence to him (RA).
He appealed the Airport Authorities to revive the name of Sheikh-ul-Alam International Airport so that demand of entire population of Kashmir who have great reverence for sufi saint for this secular outlook is fulfilled.
On this occasion, foundation stone of Imam-i-Azam Arabic College of Science and Technology was laid.
While laying the foundation stone of the college, Sajada Nasheen Mir Syed Khalid Geelani hoped that this college will provide knowledge with high quality education besides, imparting moral teachings to youth in a lovable atmosphere.
General Secretary, Anjuman-i-Ahnaf, Maulana Akhzar while addressing the gathering hailed the authorities of the Anjuman for establishing the college, which he said is the need of the hour.
