Jammu, January 06 (Scoop News) –According to the Director School Education Jammu, all Government and Private schools in Jammu Division shall remain closed from January 7 to January 13, 2013 due to inclement weather.
In view of low temperature and extreme cold weather conditions in Jammu, all Government and Private schools in Jammu Division shall remain closed from January 7 to January 13, 2013 due to inclement weather.
Director School Education Jammu has issued orders to all Government and Private schools in Jammu Division to close up to January 13, 2013,a government official said today. The official said non-compliance of the orders will be viewed seriously.
The city has been experiencing cold weather conditions for the past few days. The city also witnessed the coldest day in the last 44 years yesterday with the maximum temperature plummeting to 9.8 degrees Celsius. The maximum was 11 degrees below normal while the minimum, was recorded at 4.8 degrees, two degrees below normal. The winter capital has also been witnessing fog in the morning.
The cold conditions are likely to persist in coming days, Met Department said,
