KAS Officers Association delegation met Chief Minister
anguish of KAS fraternity over the unfortunate incident of manhandling


Jammu, April 20 (Scoop News) –A delegation of KAS Officers Association met the Chief Minister, in presence of the Chief Secretary, today in his Officer Chambers, Civil Secretariat, Jammu and conveyed the anguish of KAS fraternity over the unfortunate incident of manhandling of one of the senior officers of the Service by a Minister of State at Kishtwar.
The delegation sought the intervention of Chief Minister in restoring the morale of the Officers by taking immediate action and also for taking steps to curb recurrence of such incidents in future. The Chief Minister said that he has already taken notice of the unfortunate incident and has conveyed his displeasure to the Minister.
He described the incident as unbecoming on the part of a public representative. He expressed confidence that the issue shall be resolved soon. The Chief Minister assured the delegation that no such incident will be allowed to happen in future and all necessary steps will be taken in this regard.
The Chief Minister also stressed on the need to have guidelines regarding the requirement of the officers to accompany the Ministers during the tour programmes, especially in their constituencies, so that the public work does not suffer and assured that these guidelines shall be placed before the Cabinet in the next Cabinet Meeting. The Association hopes that necessary action shall be initiated in the matter immediately.
