| "School Chalo Abhiyan" rally organised in Reasi | |  Reasi/Jammu, April 27 (Scoop News) –As part of the week long programme to improve enrolment in the government schools an awareness rally was flagged off by DC Reasi Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary from government higher secondary school Reasi.
While Speaking of the occasion the DDC stressed on the importance of education and urged upon the parents to get their children enrolled in schools He also emphasised that it is not only about enrolling students in schools, but focussed attention to contain the dropout rate should also be given.
CEO Reasi, Tarsem lal said that a week long campaign was held across the district with the objective of improving enrolment and hoped that campaign will definitely have positive impact on the re-enrolment of the school drop outs
The DDC asked the teachers to organise awareness drives regarding importance of education among parents by organising symposiums, meetings and rallies.
ASP Reasi M.S Chouhan also addressed the participants and said that parents should enrol their wards in government schools as the government schools have well qualified and trained faculty and better infrastructure.
