| DIG Railways calls security meeting in Jammu | | Srinagar, May 24 (Scoop News) –Deputy Inspector General of Police, Railways Security, Sh. A K Atri called a security meeting at Jammu after noticing on ground some shortcoming with regard to the living conditions of jawans at various railway stations. On his return journey after attending a official meeting with DRM at Ferozpur Punjab, DIG Sh. A K Atri interacted with the Jawans and deployments on the railway tracks along the route. The DIG noticed some shortcomings in terms of living conditions of Jawans especially in the sever heat wave conditions. He also took stock of the security arrangements for the passengers on different railway stations. After reaching Jammu, the DIG called a meeting that was attended by SP, GRP Jammu, Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, all SDPO's and SHO's of GRP Jammu and other senior officers. The DIG apprised the officers about his observations and discussed need of measures that can be taken with regard to improving the security of passengers and working conditions of the Jawans. DIG gave some instructions on the spot in the meeting with regard to accommodation problems of the jawans and also directed the officers to implement the measures that came up during the meeting for improving the security at the railway stations.
