| 3 die, 8 injured in road mishaps in Kashmir | | 8 structures damaged in fire |
Srinagar, May 25 (Scoop News) –Three persons died eight others including two tourists were injured in different road accident across the Kashmir valley.
A Maruti car bearing registration number JK01M/3345 hit and injured Adil Nazir Khan son of Nazir Ahmad resident of Begumbagh near Kakapora, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kakapora, Pulwama. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Kakapora Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK0D/4454 met with an accident near Kralpora, in the jurisdiction of Police station Chadoora, resulting in on spot death of motorcyclist Arbaz Ahmad Rather son of Mohammad Yousuf Rather resident of Kralpora. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Chadoora Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a passenger, Ghulam Rasool Ganie son of Abdul Rehman resident of Danpora was seriously injured when he fell from a LP-407 bearing registration number Jk01F/3097 near Bastgo, Nishat, in the jurisdiction of Police station Nishat. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Police Nishat has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Tavera bearing registration number JK01T/5858 had a collision with another Tavera bearing registration number JK14/7314 near Zig mode, Gulmarg, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Gulmarg, Baramulla, resulting in injuries to two tourists Hera Bhai Indoka wife of Ramesh Kumar resident of MP and Shashia Bellnigam wife of Rattan Kumar resident of Kanpur. Both the injured have been shifted to Sub district Hospital Tangmarg. Police Gulmarg has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a motorcycle bearing registration number Jk05/7584 hit a parked Maruti car bearing registration number Jk05C/5524 near Wadoora Payeen, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bomie, Sopore, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist and driver of the Maruti car. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment Bomie Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, four persons were injured when they fell from a Tipper bearing registration JK04/8611, they were travelling in, near Wazabagh, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Char-e-Sharif, Budgam. All the injured have been shifted to Hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
8 structures damaged in fire
Eight structures were damaged in fire in North Kashmir last evening.
Fire broke out at Sheikhpora Chan Mohallah, in the jurisdiction of Police post Zachaildara, Handwara, resulting in complete damage to five residential houses, a primary school building and a cowshed. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and local Police.
Meanwhile, fire broke out in the Panchyat Ghar of village Oudoora, Sheeri, in the jurisdiction of Police station Sheeri, Baramulla, resulting in partial damage to the structure. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders and local police.
Lady attempts suicide in Baramulla
in an attempt to end her life, a lady (name withheld) and resident of Gantamulla, Baramulla has taken some poisonous substances at home. She was shifted to Sub District Hospital Sheeri for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
