| Kashmir Sikh community facing hardships for last 20 years | | Jammu, May 25 (Scoop News) – The Sikh community living in Kashmir valley has been facing hardships for the last more than 20 years because of militancy.
It had to suffer several massacres and killings, including Chhatisgarh massacres,still the community remained steadfast and did not leave the valley inspite of several threats and warnings.
The sikh community in Kashmir kept the Indian tricolour flying high in the valley even at a time when most of the communites left for safer zones. Unfortunately, the government has not given them a fair deal for their sacrifices and service to the nation. Several of the demands made by the community remained unfulfilled till date these includes provide security to the minority community,take action against the culprits involved in the forcible religious conversion. We would like to warn the government that if such conversions are not stopped immediately it may lead to resentment and provocation,Compensation for the damages sufred to the property due to militancy,Employment to the kith and kin of the members of the community martyred due to militancy,Early elections to reconstitute Gurdwara Prabandak Committee.
