| Jora inaugurates Clinical Complex at Skara, Leh | | 
Leh, June 14 (Scoop News) –The Minister for Urban Development & Urban Local Bodies. Nawang Rigzin Jora Friday inaugurated the New Clinical Complex of Animal Husbandry Department at Skara, in Leh.
The Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Leh, Rigzin Spalbar was present on the occasion.
Addressing a large gathering on the occasion, the Minister said that facilities like Ultra Sound, X-Ray, Laboratory, Operation Theater and modern equipment like Blood Analyzer, Serum Analyzer would be made available to the people of the District Leh for the better treatment of their animals adding that this is the first district in state to have such kind of full-fledged Animal Clinic.
Appreciating the energetic and hardworking culture of different departments in Leh District, Nawang Rigzin Jora said that it is because of the LAHDC, Leh under the inspiring leadership of CEC Rigzin Spalber that today most of the HODs in Leh are very hard working and proactive in rendering their duties.
Emphasizing upon the importance of land based economy, Jora said that since time immemorial the people of Ladakh are engaged in agrarian based economy and now it is high time to make this sub sustained economy more productive and remunerative by exploring the fullest potential of agriculture and horticulture producing import substitute products.
Speaking on the occasion, CEC Rigzin Spalbar congratulated the Animal Husbandry department for having their New Clinical Complex at Skara and urged their doctors to make this Clinic beneficial in all respects by providing 100 % Clinic facilities to beneficiaries.
Talking about the sustainable development of Leh district in context with Vision Document 2025, CEC Rigzin Spalbar said the present Council has already taken many initiatives to lead Leh district towards land based economy.
EC Animal & Sheep Husbandry Gyurment Dorjey and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Leh Dr. Abdul Qayoom also spoke on the occasion.

Abass Abadi, MLC, Leh Norboo Gyaltson, Councilor Diskit Tsewang Rigzin, Councilor Tigar Rigzin Wangdus, Councilor Phyang Tsering Sonam, nominated Councilor Lasu Shafi, ADC, Leh Tsering Murup, Goba Skara and residents of Shara attended the function.
