| Arrests at Ramban and protest rally by BJP | |
Jammu, June 19 (Scoop News) –On the third day of BJP’s country wide ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’ against corruption, mis-Governance of UPA rule and demanding Prime Minister’s resignation over 150 party workers from different parts of Ramban dist. courted arrest at Ramban. The rally was led by National Executive Committee member Dr. Nirmal Singh. While addressing the workers Dr. Nirmal Singh said that during the last 9 years of Congress rule at the centre and 5 years of Congress/NC coalition here, Jammu and Kashmir has acquired No.1 position as the most corrupt state in the country. Those who are in the power have given new orientation to the system of corruption as the contracts of government works are allotted by concerned ministers on the chits. The party programmes of the ministers are organized by the BDO’s and the beneficiary contractors and the program organized in Ramsoo yesterday is an example in this case, he said. The sitting MP is forced by the Hon’ble High Court to vacate hundreds of kanal land illegally acquired by him. How much tragic is this for the democracy and ‘Aam Admi’, he exclaimed! He further said that the relief meant for earthquake victims of erstwhile Doda District is being given to Congress/NC workers and the actual sufferers are running from pillar to post to get their names registered. MNREGA, the so called dream program of the Congress government has emerged to be the great source of corruption where very strong nexus of ruling political leaders, the corrupt Govt. officials and Congress/NC workers are looting hard earned money of the tax payers. Dr. Singh further said that the youth of the state are the worst victim as state Govt. has mischievously held back thousands of vacancies in the different Departments during the last 11years and has forced hundreds young people to become overage. This is unfortunate that this conspiracy against youth was started when Gulam Nabi Azad was the Chief Minister in the state. Now when the elections are approaching, the Govt. announced to fill up more than 80 thousand vacancies through ‘Fast Track Recruitment Committee’ which will further add to the corrupt practices, he alleged. He asked Omar Abdullah that the Govt. and especially he owes this explanation to the people as he assumed the power in the state in 2008 as so called ‘Young and Dynamic CM’ giving false hopes to the Youth. While speaking on the occasion State Convener of Training Cell Rajeev Charak said that the mis-Governance and large number of unemployment in the state and the nation has resulted to failure of all policies of the Cong-led State Govt.
