| Sensitize people about the ill effects of smoking: DDC | |
PULWAMA,June 19 (Scoop News) – To sensitise the people against the ill effects of smoking and to curb smoking at public places, District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Manzoor Ahmad Lone today convened a meeting of officers for undertaking the measures for the successful implementation of COTPA here today..
Senior citizens, Officers of District Administration and Police department were also present in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Development Commissioner stressed upon the concerned Officers to sensitize the masses about the bad consequences of the smoking.
He exhorted upon the officers to conduct awareness camps to sensitize the people about the health hazards.
DDC also urged for intensifying the market checking to ensure implementation of COPTA. A team of police, municipality and health department was constituted on the occasion for conducting market checking in the district.
