Pro-people policies fillip all-round development in State: Mir

BANDIPORA, June 19 (Scoop News) –Minister for Tourism, Ghulam Ahmad Mir has said that pro-people policies initiated by the Government have give fillip to developmental activities across the State, adding that providing good governance to the people and brining accountability in the administration remained priority of the Government during last four years.
Addressing a public meeting at Bandipora, the Minister said that focused attention is being given to upgrade infrastructure facilities under core sectors. He said implementation of flagship programmes percolates better results at grass-root level in the upgradation of basic amenities with expansion of education, health, and power facilities especially in remote and hilly areas.
The Minister appealed the people not to heed on false propaganda and hollow sloganeering of vested interests whose motive always was to use the innocent people for their political and personal interests and create hurdle on developmental process of the State.
The Minister called upon the people to continue their whole hearted support to the Government for making Jammu and Kashmir a prosperous State. He said it was the endeavor of common people that peace and normalcy returned back in the State.
Tourism Minister said that Bandipora has enough potential of tourism, asserting that this potential would be tapped fully for economic growth of the area. He said that new tourism resorts in the area being identified to bring them on the tourism map.
MLC, Ghulam Nabi Monga also addressed the gathering and while highlighting the programmes and policies of the Government, announced release of Rs. 10 lakh for several developmental works of Panchayat block Bandipora.
Former Minister Usman Majid in his address hailed the Government for carrying out equal development in all the areas of the State with special attention towards hilly and downtrodden areas. He appealed the people to support the Government whole heartedly and not allow the vested interests persons to create impediment on the developmental process of the State.
