| Poll preparedness reviewed for 03-Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency | | Anantnag, April 16, (Scoop News)-All the requisite arrangements for the election of 03-Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency to be held on April 24, 2014 have been finalized to ensure free and fair poll.
This was disclosed in a meeting chaired by Returning Officer, 03-Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency, Mr. Swagat Biswas.
Among others, District Election Officer Kulgam, Mr. Jehangir Mir, District Election Officer Pulwama, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Lone and District Election Officer Shopian, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat participated in the meeting besides Election Observers, Mr. Prashant Singh, Mr. R.A. Khandelwal and Mr. AsangbaChubaAo, officers of various security agencies were also present in the meeting.
It was given out in the meeting that the randomization of EVMs and employees has been completed and the final training to the poll personnel is being conducted in different phases which will culminate on April 18, 2014.
All other arrangements including transport and security have also been put in place, the meeting was informed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Biswas also convened a meeting of AEROs, Zonal Officers and Sectoral Officers and asked them to visit all the Polling Stations and implement the communication and transport plan in letter and spirit.
It was also given out in the meeting that the training programme for the Presiding Officers shall be conducted on April 17 & April 18, 2014 at ARO Headquarter Anantnag while the Micro Observers shall be imparted the necessary training on April 18, 2014 at Town Hall Anantnag.
