Srinagar,April 17, (Scoop News)- Youth National Conference organized an impressive youth convention in Raj Bagh Srinagar as a part of National Conference's campaign for the coming Parliamentary Elections. Hundreds of YNC workers raised slogans in favour of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and National Conference and pledged to ensure a thumping victory for the NC-Congress Coalition Candidate from Srinagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Youth President Salman Ali Sagar after welcoming Dr. Farooq Abdullah to the venue said that National Conference was the voice of the youth of J&K and the enthusiasm of YNC workers was a clear proof that NC believes in youth power and youth empowerment. PDP has always worked against the interests of the youth and has categorically sidelined youth in their own party. It is National Conference that has entrusted young leaders with the responsibility of working for the welfare of the people.
Salman Sagar said National Conference was committed to safeguarding the interests, sentiments and aspirations of the people of J&K against the vested interests of PDP and BJP. It was the youth of J&K that suffered during PDP's brief run at power and the youth will not allow PDP to make them suffer again. Saying that Dr. Farooq Abdullah was a towering, visionary leader, Salman said the youth of J&K was a benefactor of Dr. Farooq Abdullah's representation and guidance.
Those present on the occasion from YNC included Sabiya Qadri, Yunis Mubarak Gul, Ehsan Pardesi, Saleem Akhoon, Sarah Hayat Shah, Jehangir Wani, Najeeb Khan, Javed Jaanbaaz, Hilal Ahmed Sofi and Parvez Bhat.
