| Election Observer reviews poll arrangements at Leh | | Leh, April 22, (Scoop News)-To review the election preparedness in the district, Naveen Mahajan, ElecElection Observer for Leh district today convened a meeting of nodal officers headed by Returning Officer (RO), Leh Simrandeep Singh today.
The RO briefed the Observer about election preparedness in Leh district giving a detailed presentation.
Mahajan expressed satisfaction over the preparedness of the district administration for the coming elections. Making few observations he directed to deploy 50% of magistrates to their respective fields by 25th April and 100% of them by April 31 and to appoint a separate nodal officer for the Micro Observers. He also stressed on ensuring smooth monitoring of the Modal Code of Conduct, strengthening the complaint mechanism and efficacy of the control room and to ensure issuance of Election Duty Certificate to the govt. employees deployed for polling duties.
