TBU for Allama Iqbal Urdu University in J&K


Rajouri,April 23(Scoop News)-Demanding Urdu University on the name of Dr Sir Mohammad Iqbal in Jammu & Kashmir, Tehreek Baqa-e-Urdu (TBU) in collaboration with A to Z Institute of Education Dhanore paid rich tribute to this legendry poet on his 76 death anniversary.
Acting on the directions of Patron TBU Farooq Shah Bukhari, President Irfan Ali Arif and Regional Head Khurshid Tantry a team comprising Vice President Mohammad Sageer Mirza and Spokesman / General Secretary TBU Zakir Malik Bhallesi hold a programme at Dhanore in the campus of A to Z Institute of Education High School in which Administrator Zubair Mirza, Supervisor Mehmood Malik, teachers and students were also president.
Spokesman of TBu said on the occasion that if Urdu is official in J&K state, government should come out with a big institute for Urdu and since Dr Sir Mohammad Iqbal belongs to Kashmiri race an Urdu University be opened on his name in the state. He said that this will be great tribute to this poet. He also appreciated the role of A to Z Institute of Education Dhanore for collaborating such an event and expressed pleasure after meeting the brilliant students of this school who are not only been educated but also trained in all spheres to live a respectable life.
MohammD Sageer Mirza, Vice President of TBU highlighted the contribution of Dr Sir Mohammad Iqbal for humanity. He said that Iqbal who born on November 9, 1877 and died on April 21, 1938) was a philosopher, poet and politician and is considered one of the most important figures in Urdu literature,
He said that he is known for his literary work in Persian and English also but he has contributed a lot for Urdu language. He said that Iqbal's Bang-e-Dara is the first collection of Urdu poetry, which was published in 1924. He added that in 1935, the Bal-e-Jibril came out which is considered by many critics as the finest of Iqbal's Urdu poetry, and was inspired by his visit to Spain, where he visited the monuments and legacy of the kingdom of the Moors. Zarab Kaleef was also good book of Iqbal while Iqbal's final work was the Armughan-e-Hijaz published posthumously in 1938. On behalf of TBU members and school fraternity Mohammad Sageer Mirza paid rich tribute to legendary poet.
On the occasion. Supervisor of the Institute Mehmood Malik while appreciating the role of TBU for promotion of Urdu said that his school has turned one of the best school in Pir Panjal region which has focused attention to educate and train the students in all fields. He said that this school recently organised a series of programmes on environmental issues and now programme such programmes are really boosting the school.
