15 left in fray in Baramulla; RO allots symbols among candidates
Baramulla, April 23(Scoop News)- As the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers ended today, 15 candidates are left in fray for the Baramulla parliamentary Constituency.


The candidates who are in the fray now include Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Bharatiya Janata Party, Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah of National Panthers Party, Mohammad Shafi Bhat of Bahujan Samaj Party, Muzaffar Hussain Baig of People’s Democratic Party, Sharief-ud-Din Shariq of National Conference, Ayaz Ahmad Sofi of Gareeb Aadmi Party, Bashir Ahmad Jagal of PRISM, Salam ud din Bajad of Peoples Conference besides Tanveer Hussain, Ashiq Hussain Ganie, Abdul Hussain, Abdul Hamid Malik, Er. Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Mohammad Abdullah Chatwal and Nisar Ahmad Ahangar, all independents.

Polling in the constituency would take place on May 07 for which the District administration has made all elaborate arrangements.

Later, the Returning Officer, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone allotted election symbols among the contesting candidates.
Election Observers for the constituency, K. Praveen Kumar and Dr.Murli Krishna besides contesting candidates and their representatives were present on the occasion.
