| Militants shot Policeman in Bijbehara | |
Srinagar, July 25, (Scoop News)-Militants today shot at and critically injured a policeman in Bijbehara of Anantnag district.
Police said that a constable Mohammad Altaf was shot at from close range by the militants at Goriwan chowk in Bijbehara Anantnag town, Friday evening.
Mohammad Altaf was hit by a bullet in the chest and was admitted to the sub-district hospital of the town, from where he was referred to a hospital in Srinagar.
No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
Police said. A hunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
