BJP announces incharge of 8 assembly constituencies in J&K

Jammu, July 28, (Scoop News)-The State Election Committee of the BJP met on Sunday under the presidentship of Party President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma to discuss the poll strategy and the probable candidate for the upcoming assembly elections. J&K Incharge & MP Avinash Rai Khanna and Co-Incharge & MLA R.P. Singh were among others who participated in the meeting. This was revealed by BJP State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma during the press conference held at the party headquarters. Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria and BJP State General Secretary Bali Bhagat were also present in the press conference.
Sharma said apart from discussing various names of party candidates for the coming assembly elections, the members of the committee also worked out a comprehensive strategy to achieve the party’s mission 44+ in Jammu & Kashmir. “They emphasized the need for the formation of BJP government in the state. They said Jammu & Kashmir is a sensitive border state, which needs a government that harmonizes inter-regional relations, treats all the three regions of the state and the people they house equally, check the growth of fissiparous tendencies in the state, maintained social and communal harmony and mitigates the hardships of refugees of all categories, including those from PoJK and West Pakistan,” he informed. He, in addition said that the parties like Congress, NC and PDP have failed the people of the state and only created problems for them and the country by indulging in politics of soft-secessionism and competitive communalism and added that these parties are responsible for all the troubles facing the people of the state and the nation in Jammu & Kashmir. The BJP would field candidates for the upcoming assembly elections who are public spirited and committed to the people of state and the country, he further said.
After holding a detailed discussion, which continued for almost three hours, the election committee decided to appoint eight BJP leaders as Incharge of an equal number of assembly constituencies, Sharma said. He also announced announce the names of
Chander Prakash Ganga was appointed for Vijaypur assembly constituency, Pardeep Sharma incharge for Poonch assembly constituency, Dina Nath Bhagat for Chanani (Reserved) constituency, Shakti Parihar for Doda constituency, Dalip Singh Parihar for Bhaderwah constituency and Sunil Sharma for Kishtwar constituency. The election committee also appointed two BJP leaders from Kashmir as Incharge of two assembly constituencies. Dr. Hina Bhat was appointed as incharge Amira Kadal constituency and Sofi Yousuf for Pahalgam.
