BJP Sharnarthi Cell voices concern over issues of POJK Refugees

Jammu, July 30 (Scoop News)- To take stock of the problems being faced by POJK Refugees, a meeting of BJP Sharnarthi Cell was organized at Ranibagh area where scores of POJK Refugees gathered and voiced their concerns before BJP leaders. The meeting was held under the leadership of State In-charge of BJP Cells Sat Sharma (CA). He was also accompanied by BJP senior leaders Pt. Ashok Kumar Khajuria, Munish Sharma, Vijay Sharma and other local leaders of the area.
While addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma said that for the last 67 years, no effective model has been crafted by State Government in order to provide relief to them whereas lakhs of POJK Refugees are suffering till date. He stated that this is the right time when the State Government should look into their grievances and make an comprehensive plan for them so that they could live a life without miseries and disappointments. He also stated that no such effective has been sent to Central government for settlement of the claims to the refugees. The Senior BJP leader also stated that a signature campaign will be launched on 1st of August by BJP Sharnarthi Cell at Bhour Camp, where thousands of refugees will pen down their anger in the form of signatures against state government, which has not passed any package for refugees in state government.
Elaborating his statement, Sharma said that whatever the demands of Refugees are should be drafted on a priority basis by the State Government and should be sent to Central government for their disposal.
Pt. Ashok Khajuria, who himself is a POJK refugee, said that three generations of helpless people have perished demanding dignified life as Indian citizens but successive state governments only provided lip service and did nothing in practical to come forward and wipe out our tears. He said that the government should not test the patience of lakhs of POJK refugees and adopt a humane approach to mitigate their sufferings.
Pitamber Sharma, Bharat Sharma, Vijay, Ashok Ranyal, Ashok Saraar, Sanjeev Kumar, Pal Sharma, Govind Sharma, Umesh Khajuria were among the prominent who participated in the meeting.
