| Army recovers weapon and ammunition | | Srinagar,August 14,(Scoop News)_Based on inputs about move of arms and ammunition to Handwara prior to Independence Day, multiple patrols were launched by the RR unit deployed in the area. At approx 0330h, the patrol at Batgund noticed an individual suspiciously moving. On being challenged, the individual ran back towards village Batgund and jumped into the vegetation. The area was swiftly cordoned by the troops. Search of the area led into recovery of the bag containing five pistols alongwith eleven magazines, eighty rounds of pistol ammunition and other stores.
