Kichloo visits firing affected hamlets
Gives away Rs 1 lakh each to families of deceased, Rs 10 thousand to injured

R S Pura, August 23, (Scoop News)- Minister of state for Home, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today visited the border hamlets where two persons were killed and five others were injured in overnight firing by Pakistani troops.

The Minister met the families of the deceased persons and expressed heartfelt condolence. He told the bereaved families that the people of the entire state share their grief adding that the government would take every measure to ensure safety and security of the life and property of the people of border areas. He directed the administration to ensure providing all basic amenities to the affected people.
The Minister also handed over ex-gratia relief of Rs one lakh cheque to each to the next of the kin of the deceased persons and Rs ten thousand to those injured in the firing.

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu, senior officers of BSF and local administration accompanied the Minister.
Later, Minister for Industries and Commerce Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today inspected ongoing works of JK Cement Limited Plant at Samba and took stock of progress of work. He instructed JKCL Management to accomplish all the remaining works and make it commission at the earliest.
While inspection, it has been noticed that 2.5 MVA transformer has not been received from the PDD which is main hurdle in commissioning the plant. In response of this Chief Engineer PDD Shenaz Goni has assured that the transformer has been commissioned by 15th of September.
He also instructed MD JKCL R. K. Sharma to commission the plant immediately after receiving the transformer i.e 15th of September.
The Minister also instructed for completion of proceeding of land acquisition for Industrial Growth Centre (IGC).
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Samba Mubarak Singh, SSP Samba Anil Mangotra, Chief Engineer PDD Shenaz Goni, Director Industries and Commerce Dr. Abdul Rashid, MD SICOP R. L. Tikoo, MD JKCL Rakesh Sharma, MD JK SIDCI J. S. Dua, ADC Samba Inderjeet Bhagat, GM DIC Samba and Kathua besides Ex-MLC Brij Mohan Sharma were also present on the occasion.
