| Indian Army distributes esential items to locals of village Hunder | | for community development | Partapur, (Siachen base) August 28,(Scoop News)_Indian Army’s Meiktila Gunners, at Partappur under aegis of Siachen Brigade handed over
essential items for local population as part of community development programme at Hunder village, a defence spokesman said on Thursday .
He said the aim of such events is primarily assistance in development of villages located in Nubra Valley.
In such remote areas, and with limited resources, the local populace experience a shortfall of critical items which act as an impediment in
progress.
The spokesman said as part of the Sadbhavana Project Siachen Brigade, Meiktila Gunners procured and distributed items including oil cooker, pressure
cooker, Syntax tank, plastic tables and chairs and steel which were handed over to the Sarpanch of Hunder Village under Operation Sadhbavana.
The sarpanch of the village acknowledged and thanked the efforts of the regiment.
