| DBN Vidya Mandir celebrates its foundation day | | 
Jammu, September 01, (Scoop News)- 52nd foundation of Dewan Vidya Mandir Amarvilla was celebrated in the premises of school here on Monday.
The celebration started with hoisting of school flag by Leela Karan Sharma. He took the salute at the march past.
A colourful cultural programme also presented on the occasion. The other highlights of the day long programme were prayer and patriotic songs, dances to the tune of some songs. A dance sequence by the students was the eye catchers which enthralled the audience. Besides, speeches and skits were also presented on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma presented the brief history of the school and highlighted the achievements in past 52 years. He expressed in detail the achievement of the institution during a short span of time and expressed his elation about the working of the school and desired that the march has to be on as sky has been the limit for all of us. He emphasised that true dedication and devotion alone can help us to excel in all curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Principal of the school, Dr Baljeet Singh welcomed the main guest Leela Karan Sharma and presented the school report. He also lauded the role of all those who participated actively in todays programme.
He stressed upon all those present to work with true devotion to make this Institution a school with difference not only in the State of Jammu and Kashmir but in entire nation. He asserted honesty and hard work alone is a real key to success.
The students were provided refreshments after conclusion of the function. Later, the awards were presented to the students excelled in various fields.
