Kranti Dal lauds army's role in relief, rescue operations

Jammu, September 13, (Scoop News)- Lauding the efforts of Army, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Air Force and J&K Police personnel who saved the lives of fellow countrymen while risking their own lives, State President Kranti Dal Pritam Sharma & Geny. Secy. Vijay Kumar appreciated their valiant efforts to search, locate, establish contact and then conduct rescue, relief and evacuation operations.
Interacting with the reporters here today, Pritam Sharma said that it was a very difficult operation but the valiant efforts of army soldiers resulted in saving lives.
Taking dig on some anti-elements, Pritam Sharma said that some miscreants indulging in looting the innocent people and demanded the government to take measure in this regard so that people who are already suffer by natural calamity and stranded in Valley for last ten days.
Expressing sympathy with incessant rains and flood victims of Jammu region far flung areas, Pritam Sharma appealed to State Government to dispatch essential commodities to the remotest and in-assessable areas of Jammu region. He also asked the authorities to restore power, water and road connectivity in affected areas. He further demanded temporary accommodation for those people whose house have been washed away in the flood and are sleeping under open sky.
Pritam Sharma said that funds provided by Central Government should be immediately utilized without further delay to provide immediate relief to the affected people. Asking pilgrims to visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Pritam Sharma said that all the three tracks leading to the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi for the pilgrimage opened. He added that that water and power supply has been fully restored to all the establishments and tracks. He also asked the News Channel to give proper information to the people of the country about the Vaishnodevi Yatra & Rescue operation.
He further informed that more than 5000 people sought shelter at Zeashta Devi Temple where Temple Prabandhak Committee has made all out efforts in arranging free Langer to these stranded people for the last 10 days.
He said that the Prabandak Committee has now exhausted its ration and it is becoming difficult for them to feed the stranded people. He asked State Government to come to the rescue of the stranded people and evacuate them immediately to avoid any causality and till then sufficient food grains be provided to them for their sustenance.
