Aditi Sharma receives stranded students at Jammu Airport

Jammu, September 13, (Scoop News)- Relatives of the students held up in flood hit Kashmir Valley heaved a sigh of relief today when more than 150 mostly girls landed at Jammu Airport and were received by BJP leader Aditi Sharma and there parents amidst emotional scenes here. The Divisional administration had assured the parents of the stranded students, after BJP leader Aditi Sharma intervened and gheraoed Divisional Commissioner Jammu outside Police Control Room, Jammu when he was holding a press briefing.


Divisional Commissioner Shantmanu committed to Ms. Aditi Sharma that students will be at home by Saturday at any cost and he fulfilled his commitment.
The parents of the stranded students thanking Ms. Aditi Sharma said that they have been running from pillar to post for last more than 8 days but no one from Govt. including the Ministers and Civil administration intervened. It was only after Aditi Sharma took the initiative and led the protesting relatives that Divisional administration became serious over the students plight.


BJP Leader later visited Ward No. 3 and 8 near Satwari to take stock of the situation of the flood victims and administrations response towards them. The people on the occasion alleged that no one from the Government has visited them as yet neither any relief has been distributed to them. They further said that government has totally evaporated from the state and there is no one to look after them. They said that BJP leader was the first to visit them and take stock of their situation.
Ms. Aditi Sharma assured them to take up their cause with the concerned authorities and seek their redressal.
Prominent among others who accompanied were Mr. Sushil Dutt Shashi, Capt. Ashok Kumar (Retd) and Sangeeta.
