| Goswami took stock of relief and rescue works at Jammu | | Directs for early restoration of roads |  Jammu, September 16, (Scoop News)- In order to review the relief and rescue works a high level meeting was chaired by Anil Goswami (IAS) Secretary to Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs ,at Jammu on Monday.
Goswami took a detailed review of the LPG, Ration Supply, status of roads, health and number of other issues during the meeting.
Underlining the need for early restoration of road connectivity he directed the concerned department to ensure that all roads are restored at an earliest so that people can get supply of essential items in a hassle free manner.
He directed IGP Jammu for additional deployment of police personnals along national highway so that vehicles can ply smoothly and there is no traffic jams and other related problems along highway and trucks carrying ration supply, LPG and other essential items could reach Kashmir smoothly.
Regarding supply of medicines to Kashmir, Director Health Services Jammu was directed to ensure that adequate number of drugs including Anidiarroheal, antibiotic and antidiabetic drugs are supplied to Srinagar on priority.
While taking stock of the damages caused to public and private property due to floods in Jammu Union Home Secretary directed the officers to ensure early and accurate assessment of damages so that people can get relief well in time.
Regarding supply of LPG and POL to Kashmir the concerned authorities informed the meeting that trucks carrying LPG and other POL products are being dispatched to Kashmir via synthan top and Mughal road.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Shantmanu, IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Head of the departments besides others also attended the meeting.
Later union secretary along with Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Deputy Commissioner Jammu also visited fourth Tawi bridge which got washed away during recent floods.
