Corruption rampant in coalition regime: Veeri
No takers of hollow slogans of NC, Cong: Karra

CHATROO (KISHTWAR), October 21, (Scoop News)-
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said the National Conference led Congress-National Conference coalition government stands exposed for its non-performance and there are no takers for its hollow slogans now.
Addressing impressive meetings at Chatroo, Thathri and other areas of Inderwal assembly segment, senior PDP leader and Lok Sabha member from Srinagar segment, Tariq Hamid Karra today said that NC-Congress regime has become a non performing liability on the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Congress, which is part of the government is equally responsible for the miseries of the people because this party has brazenly bartered peoples’ interests for enjoying power”, Mr Karra said and regretted the backwardness in the Chenab Valley region was a clear indication that elected representatives of this belt have miserable failed to come up to the expectations of the people.

Mr Karra, who is on a whirlwind tour of Chenab Valley region along with other senior leaders of PDP, observed that contractors-politicians nexus was visible in this most backward and neglected belt. “Instead of fulfilling aspirations of their people, elected representatives have been indulged into oppressive means to threaten their political opponents”, he said.
Responding to the demands of the local, Mr Karra demanded that adequate compensation should be given to the people whose land was acquired under PMGRY.
Speaking on the occasion, Leader of Opposition, Abdul Rehman Veeri said that NC-Congress government has reneged on almost all the promises made with the people during electioneering and the coalition Government run
by them seems to be a rudderless arrangement lacking direction and commitment.
Lambasting State Government for its failure to solve day today problems of the common masses, he said that miseries of the people have been increased manifold after formation of this regime which was formed with out any programme and policy. “Instead of solving basic problems of the common masses leaders of both leaders of National Conference and Congress have been befooling the people by making false promises”, he said.
Mr Veeri said that the present government has repeated the same blunders which were committed by the previous National Conference regime from 1996 to 2002.
Pointing towards shortage of ration in government runs depots, he regretted that due to rampant corruption ration meant for poor people being sold in open market.
