Congress exposed for lack of concern for suffering people: Jugal

Jammu, October 24, (Scoop News)- BJP State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, on his return to Jammu after meeting the Prime Minister at Srinagar on Diwali day alongwith other leaders , addressed a joint press conference with State Vice-President & Kashmir Prabhari Ramesh Arora (Adv.) and State Spokesperson Sunil Sethi (Adv.). at party headquarters.
Jugal Kishore Sharma while briefing about meeting with PM and the issues taken up with him, appreciated the initiative taken by PM Narendra Modi of announcing package for flood victims and for construction of hospitals. He said it is first Prime Minister who is deeply concerned over the prevailing crisis and is trying hard to redress problems of public. He said that BJP delegation has demanded direct money transfer to sufferers and the same was accepted. It was also demanded that relief of Rs. Five lakh each be given to the persons killed in Pak firing. Issue related to Permanent settlement of border firing affected persons was also taken up. Jugal said that it was indeed very good gesture on part of PM that he agreed in principle with assurance of immediate decisions. He also criticized Congress leaders for not meeting the Prime Minister and make use of the visit to highlight the sufferings of the affected people adding that it has totally exposed Congress for its anti-people approach and lack of concern for the sufferings of the people of Kashmir.
Ramesh Arora (Adv.) said that for the first time people of Kashmir came on roads to welcome Prime Minister amid chanting slogans ‘Narendra Modi zindabad, Narendra Modi Kashmir aapke saath hai’. It was also for the first time the Hurriyat could not get response of bandh call on arrival of PM. The persons have stated debate that direct money transfer into account of affected person is interference in federal structure and interference by Centre government into working of the state is condemnable because people have lost trust on state working and wanted that they should get their entitlement directly so that corrupt officials and political personalities may not get undue benefit.
Sunil Sethi (Adv.) said that Prime Minister’s visit to Siachen on the auspicious occasion of Diwali is appreciable and it has given boost to the morale of forces. He said that the bycott by the Congress shows insensitiveness towards prevailing problems of public and it reflect their frustration of defeat in different states and are now expecting the same defeat in Jammu and Kashmir.
The media was also informed that the BJP delegation which met PM included MP & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ramesh Arora (Adv.), G.M. Mir, Ashok Kaul, Faiz Ahmed Bhat, Mushtaq Noorabadi and Ali Mohd. Mir.
