Sham Lal deserves Oscar for enacting high pitch drama: Pushvinder
His resignation is nothing but acceptance of failure as Minister

Jammu, October 25, (Scoop News)- Ahead of announcement of elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress Minister Sham Lal Sharma, who has been facing criticism over handling of recent floods, has tendered his resignation from the Omar Abdullah ministry which is a clear cut Political Stunt and Drama, said Pushvinder Manhas, contesting MLA candidate of NPP from Akhnoor constituency in a statement.
Pushvinder said that only a day or two is left for the code of conduct to be imposed by the Election Commission in the state and if Sham Lal would not have resigned even then his powers would have been seized after coded of conduct. This is an attempt to befool the innocent protesting daily wagers, in particular and people of his constituency in general, he added.
Terming the resignation as poll gimmick, he further said that Sham chose the time of resignation when CM was not in the state and very well knowing the fact that his resignation will be accepted by the CM then what was the fun of submitting his resignation to the Saif-ud-din Soz.
This is merely a high pitch flop drama enacted to garner the sympathy of the agitating daily wagers as he himself failed to do anything for them since he became the minister.
Further lambasting the Sham Lal, Manhas said that in an attempt to play 'Jammu card', he claimed National Conference ministers were blocking the move because there were more daily wagers from Jammu region, Pushvinder added.
Sham, an MLA from Akhnoor, was recently criticised by his own Congress Minister Taj Mohiuddin who alleged that the flood control minister had stopped dredging work in the Kashmir Valley which aggravated the flood situation and hence the said move of Sham is nothing but to divert the attention of the public from his failures. It is pertinent to mention here that state Congress's chief spokesman Farooq Renzu Shah has tendered his resignation to party president Sonia Gandhi, alleging that the "floods were fully mismanaged" by Sham which led to "deliberate drowning" of Srinagar and South Kashmir.
"Even Taj Mohidin, senior Congress minister, has also pointed out that deliberate flood mismanagement caused drowning of city and other parts of Kashmir," Pushvinder alleged.
