Allegations baseless and fabricated - Sajjad Kitchloo
Will file defamation suit against KAS Officer

Jammu , October 30, (Scoop News)- Office of Minister of State for Industries & Commerce, Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo has rebutted a news report published in a section of the media in which Dr. Abdul Rasheed, a senior KAS officer, has leveled serious allegations against the person of Minister of State for Industries& Commerce, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and his PRO in a land allotment case to prospective entrepreneurs.

Describing the accusations as a figment of Dr. Rasheed’s imagination, the Minister's spokesman stated that the officer is hiding behind his own failures in disseminating duties at such a high office as that of Director I&C, Jammu. He condemned the action of Dr. Abdul Rasheed who has tried to drag the Minister’s name in a routine government business which falls in his domain and not that of the Minister. The spokesman added that the Minister is contemplating taking legal action by filing a defamation suit in the court of law against the officer.

The spokesman has stated that a rebuttal, duly signed by Dr. Rasheed as Director Industries & Commerce, Jammu, to a news report published in the State Times exposes his double standards. In the rebuttal, a copy of which has been provided to the media organizations, the Director has categorically stated that the Minister in-charge I&C had no role to play in either clearance, deferring or rejection of cases brought before the Divisional-level Single Window Clearance Committee, which, ironically is headed by the Director himself.

“The rebuttal issued by Dr. Rasheed exposes his nefarious designs in maligning the image of Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo as he has himself ruled out his role in clearance of cases either in DLSWCC headed by the Director at the Divisional Level or in Apex Projects Clearance Committee, headed by the Chief Secretary at the State level,” he said and added that he is surprised how he has taken a diametrically opposite position in the Hon’ble Court of law and maligned the image of the Minister.

The Minister's office has stated that all these facts including the rebuttal issued by Dr. Rasheed will be brought in the notice of the Hon’ble High Court at the time of filing of objections. He added that by misleading the Hon’ble Court, Dr. Rasheed has tried to inflict irreparable loss to the credibility and integrity of the Minister, which cannot be tolerated.
