| Pradesh Congress Observes Indira Gandhi’s 30th Death Anniversary | | 
Jammu, October 31, (Scoop News)- The 30th Death Anniversary of Former Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi was observed throughout the state by the Congress party today. The main function was organized at the party’s headquarter Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu which was presided over by Thakur Hari Singh-Vice President PCC and was attended by Senior leaders of PCC, DCC, Mahila Congress, PYC, Seva Dal, Block and Ward committees in large number.
While paying rich tributes to the Late Prime Minister, Thakur Hari Singh said that the Martyrdom of Smt. Indira Gandhi for the cause of nation’s unity and integrity will be remembered for generations to come. Her glorious achievements like the historic victory in 1971 war and liberation of Bangladesh, Green Revolution, Twenty Point Programme, Bank Nationalisation, Pokhran-I and Garibi Hatao Programme will always remind us of her great contribution in the building of modern India.
Former Minister Mula Ram while paying tributes to Indira Ji, said that as Chairperson of Non Align Movement (NAM) conference, the Indo-Soviet friendship treaty of 1971 was a tribute to her contribution in international affairs which is commendable. Her vision paid us handsome dividends in the 1971 war and in the cold war era. All this made Indira Gandhi a tallest and courageous leader for all times to come.
On this occasion the leaders pledged to follow Indiraji’s teachings and move forward for development of India, eradication of poverty and make India a great power. They recalled her leadership qualities and her contribution in the politics of the Country and the World.
