NC thanks voters for reposing faith in party candidates during Ist phase
Jammu, November 25, (Scoop News)- National Conference on Tuesday expressed gratitude to the people the erstwhile Doda district for participating in huge numbers in the first phase of elections to Legislative Assembly and reposing their faith in National Conference.
“The reports emanating from the ground zero indicate that National Conference will increase its tally in the erstwhile Doda district exponentially, which encourages us to look for better results during the remaining phases”, the senior party leaders said in a joint statement.
The NC leaders lauded the political sagacity of voters for their preference for National Conference and assured that the party will come up to their expectations, as it has over the decades. They said NC is committed to equitable development and progress of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. “No power can deter us from pursuing the path of serving the people with sincerity of purpose and upholding their honour and dignity”, they added.
They exuded confidence about the voters making their choice for National Conference given its people friendly and forward looking polices besides the performance registered during the past six years under Chief Minister Mr Omar Abdullah. They said the people were best judges to adjudge the performance of the government and gives their verdict by pressing the button. “National Conference has met the challenges unfolded by turbulent situation in 2008 and succeeded in restoring peace and giving a big push to development”, they added.
The National Conference leaders expressed hope about similar momentum in ensuing phases of the ongoing election process, saying people were the real fountain head of power. “It is because of their unflinching support, National Conference has braved the brunt during most testing times and remained in public service”, they said, adding that the party will continue to perform its designated rule of steering the state to peace and progress.
