PoK refugee will oppose any move of abrogation of Article 370:JKYSAC


Jammu, November 26, (Scoop News)- A meeting of JK Youth Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKYSAC ) was held under the leadership of its president Pt RC Sharma said that PoK refugee will oppose any move of abrogation of Article 370 till the Government of India would not take back the area of J&K state which is forcefully occupied by the Pakistan.
While addressing the meeting, Mr Sharma said the PoK refugees would oppose any move to abrogate the article 370 till the India government will not get back area of J&K state from Pakistan, which is illegally in the possession of Pakistan and we were ousted from our houses. He said, “No power on earth can abrogate the article 370 till the J&K is state divided as the union government of India has unanimously passed a resolution in 1994 and pledged to take back that area which has been occupied by Pakistan and China.” He warned the government that PoK refugees are looking forward for getting their land back and they want to live in their native place, where they were having land and big gardens.
He warned all the political parties not use article 370 for their political use as it is matter of humanity nature and not of political nature. He further asked the statae and union government o come clear on the issue of PoK refugees and provide them relief till their permanent settlement. He asked the government to de-freeze the 10 seats of assembly segments, which were kept freeze in the J&K constitution for PoK refugees. He said that PoK refugees till 1947 are living in exile and want to go back their native villages and tpo get back their ancestral properties.
He also invited the attention of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to exert pressure on India to settle the issues of PoK refugees well in time so that the 67 years long exile could be ended. “We people are living in unhygienic conditions and it is not less than hell,” Sharma expressed. He also asked the world community to intervene in our issue to end our 67 years long exile as government is biased in settling the issues of refugees belong to J&K state.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Iqbal Singh Iqbal, Gurdev Singh, Monika Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Tilak Raj Sharma and others.
