NC believes in holistic development; harmony: Gupta, Mirza

Rajouri, December 18, (Scoop News)-Senior National Conference leaders Rattan Lal Gupta and Mirza Abdul Rasheed on Thursday assailed BJP and PDP for their myopic political agenda, saying their machinations may serve their baleful game-pln but ultimate losers were the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
“Divisive politics is not in the interest of sensitive state like Jammu and Kashmir”, State Vice President Mr Rattan Lal Gupta said while addressing a huge rally at Rajouri in support of the party candidate Mirza Abdul Rasheed.
Mr Gupta said National Conference will not allow the machinations of these frustrated and disruptive politicians to succeed and cautioned the people to guard against elements whose ultimate destination is to seek power by hook or crook. He said the existence of PDP and BJP is based on slur and deception and like chameleons they have been changing colours and exploiting the people on religious and regional lines.
Addressing the gathering, Mirza Abdul Rasheed took dig at the allegations being levelled by responsible leaders of BJP about discrimination with Jammu region and said these were motivated by political compulsions. He said parties like BJP cannot mislead the people by carving out imaginary apprehensions, adding that emotive slogans in all their manifestations have caused immense damage to the social fabric of sensitive state like Jammu and Kashmir in the past.
Mirza Rasheed asserted that National Conference stands guarantee to equal opportunities of progress and development to all the three regions and their sub regions. He made a mention of initiatives taken to ensure all round development of the three regions and enhancing the living standard of people.
Mirza Rasheed assured the people of Rajouri that his priority will be to change the developmental scenario across the constituency with impetus on public utility services besides upgrading the facilities in service sectors like health and education.
National Conference leader Pradeep Bali was prominent among others present in the rally.
