BJP befooled people by “Ache Din campaign”: Congress
Party will sweep fifth phase polls riding on ‘Azad Wave’: Nizami

Jammu, December 18, (Scoop News)- Claiming that there is no ‘Modi Wave’ in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress today said the party would sweep the fifth phase of elections riding on ‘Azad Wave’ as BJP has befooled the people of Jammu and Kashmir by “Ache Din” Campaign. The Congress party Spokesman Salman Nizami said that after facing rejection in the Valley, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) was resorting to its divisionary tactics by making misleading statements of discrimination met to the people of Jammu region. Nizami said that BJP was frustrated with the rejection of its candidates in the Valley in the recently held elections.
He said the hopeless BJP leadership were now trying to take people of Jammu for a ride by making false and baseless allegations of discrimination. “In Ladakh, BJP leaders say the region was discriminated. In Kashmir, they pretend to be well wishers of the people. And in Jammu, they play the card of communal politics. This is party of deceit and falsehood. What good can this party do when it has notorious criminals and hate mongers in its fold,” he said. The Congress spokesman said that BJP will never form a government in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the people of Kashmir have given a befitting reply to the BJP, while the same will be done by the people of Jammu region. “BJP wants to divide Jammu and Kashmir on the basis of region and religion. They want people to fight each other. Such a communal design is extremely dangerous for the conscious citizens of the state. Their design needs to be defeated” he said. He added that the remarks of Prime Minister, Narinder Modi at Jammu accusing Congress of opportunism shows the growing frustration within the BJP leadership. “Not Congress, BJP is an opportunist party. If Congress had a lust for power like BJP has, we would have entered into an agreement of rotational Chief Minister in the state. However, our only motive is to make Jammu and Kashmir one of the best developed state’s of the country. We believe in action rather than false promises and hollow slogans,” he said. Taking a dig at Modi, Nizami said that the PM should have visited the city and seen the developmental works done by the former Chief Minister and the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad, during his short tenure “A man who barely walks on the road can’t gauge the development in air. He should have spared some time and seen the ground situation,” the Congress spokesman said, adding that the BJP government at the Centre has failed in all fronts.
Urging people to reject the communal politics hell bent on creating a wedge between the people of the state, the spokesman said that Congress was the only party that remains committed to the equitable development of all the regions of the state.“The past of those parties, who’re trying to mislead the people with false promises is known to all. The people of Jammu should strengthen Congress and shut the doors for communal forces, once for all,” he said.
