| ARC organizes winter coaching camp for Art, Music, dance, & theater | |
Leh,January 29, (Scoop News)-One month winter coaching camp for Art, Music, dance, theater and general creativity organised by Association for Revolutionary Creation (ARC) was concluded at BNV School Hostel today.
The Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar was the chief guest on the valedictory function. He appreciated the efforts of the ARC members for conducting such programme and expressed gladness over the level of confidence and talent the children have acquired in a short span of time. He stressed on the youth to not to waste their time waiting to get recruited in government jobs but to explore avenues in entrepreneurship. He asked the organizer to approach him in advance with proposals to avail funds and other supports from council. CEC announced a financial assistance of Rs.50000 to ARC.
The Director ARC said that the main objective of the coaching is to search and nurture talent at young age. He said that as many as 70 students from remote villages of Changthang, Nubra and Kargil participated in the coaching camp. He said that other than training in art the association gives academic tuition in all subjects to the students.
A cultural and a theatrical programme were also presented by the participatory children on the occasion.
