Various organizations term Geelani’s statement highly objectionable
Demands his immediate arrest


Jammu, January 30, (Scoop News)-Various organizations have strongly condemned the statement of Hurriyat hardliner Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani describing the two terrorists killed in Tral encounter as martyrs. These organizations accused him of inducing people to wage a war against the nation by his highly objectionable and controversial statements of launching an armed struggle against India. They demanded his immediate arrest.

Jammu Province Peoples’ Forum has condemned the highly inflammable, anti-national and subverted statement of Syed Ali Shah Geelani and demanded his immediate arrest.

Speaking in the meeting, its president Judge Pavitar Singh Bhardwaj (retired) castigated the Geelani for describing the slain militants as brave Mujahidin, heroes and martyrs, who are responsible for gruesome killings of Col MN Roi and head constable Sanjeev Singh, besides injuring other civilians is highly deplorable and needs quick action under law of land. The martyrdom of 39 years old Col MN Roi and head constable Sanjeev Singh cannot be forgotten by the entire nation. Such like subverted activities by anti-national elements undermine the sacrifices made by the martyrs and need to be curbed with iron hands. The president appealed the Governor to rise to the occasion and punish such like elements who are engaged in anti-national activities for damaging the sovereignty of the nation. The president felt sorry for Mr Geelani, who is being provided VIP security besides VIP medical treatment even abroad at the cost of state exchequer should dare to utter such anti-national gloats, which is highly objectionable.
Others who attended the meeting included Inderjeet Khajuria, Narian Singh, ML Sharma, Avinash Bhatia, Rajiv Mahajan, Balwinder Singh, Gajan Singh (Transporter), Amrit Magotra, Gajan Singh (Akali Dal), Kamla Sharma and others.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) president Kundan Kashmiri has also strongly condemned the statement of Geelani and demanded that he be deported to Pakistan.
He said there is no place for likes of Geelani in India as people like him were responsible for 25 year long blood shed in the State of J&K. Kashmiri also demanded that the assets of Hurriyat leader be sealed and Government should withdraw his security cover and other facilities.



Panun Kashmir (PK) which held the meeting of its office bearers here today under the leadership of Ashwani Chrungoo its president paid glorious tributes to Army Colonel and a Head Constable from district Doda who attained martyrdom at Tral. The meeting observed two minutes silence as a mark of tribute to the departed souls.
In his address, Mr Chrungoo said that it was due to sacrifices of the valiant security forces that terrorism has been brought under some reasonable control, yet this menace is able to raise its ugly head time and again. He said it is high time to tell Pakistan to reign in terror machinery and dismantle the entire terror infrastructure including the training camps operating on the soil of Pakistan and PoJK.
He said the KPs are the prime victims of terrorism and it is high time that the Government should curb terrorism once for all.
Addressing the meeting PK national spokesman Virender Raina strongly condemned the statement of Hurriyat hardliner Syeed Ali Shah Geelani and demanded action under law against him. He said Geelani should be arrested for sedation and treason as he was encouraging a section of people to wage a war against nation.






Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey and its general secretary, Dr Sham Lal Gupta while strongly condemning the statement of Mr Geelani have demanded his immediate arrest. They said Geelani is a traitor and he should be dealt under the law.
The VHP leaders, while paying glorious tributes to Colonel of Indian Army and Head Constable who laid down their lives while fighting the terrorists in Tral said the entire nation feels proud of them as they have left an example that cause of nation is supreme to every thing and have taught a lesson to terrorists and their mentors across the border. The duo said that the two martyrs will remain immortal till the existence of this universe.
