Animal Husbandry organizes awareness programme at Anantnag
DDC distributes cheques among 61 beneficiaries
Anantnag, January 31, (Scoop News)- Department of Animal Husbandry is committed for the betterment of the people associated with the diary or poultry farming in one way or other way.


This was disclosed by District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Tasaduq Jeelani while speaking on the occasion of a Daylong Awareness programme organised at Anantnag.


The camp was organised by Animal Husbandry department under centrally sponsored CHR scheme. During the camp the participating progressive farmers were informed about the various central and state sponsored schemes, besides various diseases of the poultry and dairy animals.
It was also given out during the camp that Rs. 4.62 lakh incentive have been paid to 77 beneficiaries under pregnant cow in hilly areas, 52 clinical camps, 05 fertility camps and 03 awareness camps have been organised during the year. Under DEDS 18 cases have been sanctioned while as 38 cases have been sanctioned under VCF.
Speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner urged upon the people especially unemployed youth to come forward and utilize the central and state sponsored programmes. He further added that government is committed for the betterment of people.
District Development Commissioner also distributed cheques @Rs. 1000 among 61 beneficiaries under CHR scheme.
