Pakistan : Modi eschews adamancy

By Dr Ved Pratap Vaidik

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought out a good solution to mend the relations with Pakistan. Under the pretext of ‘Hurriyat” the chords which were broken in August 2014 would be repaired now. The way sorted out is that SAARC countries are playing in the World cup so India would talk to them. What would India talk? Will it teach them the tactics of Cricket game? Of course, India can teach them because amidst the SAARC countries India alone was the biggest slave of Britishers. Cricket and compulsory imposition of English are the two marks of our slavery. Our great nationalistic Prime Minister Modi has taken responsibility to nurture these two slavish things. He does not know English but still he pretends to speak English with the help of ‘Teleprompter’ and tries to mesmerize the audiences. Now it wouldn’t be a surprise to us if he would start playing cricket like Miyan Nawaz.

Anyway, now our foreign secretary Jaishankar would go to neighboring countries under the pretext of cricket. What is the connection between Cricket and Jaishankar? We do not know, Modiji must be knowing better. Whatever the case may be, under the cloak of visiting SAARC countries, he would also visit Pakistan. In fact, to go to Pakistan only, Jaishankar has invented the clever ploy of cricket and visit to SAARC countries.

Now the talks would begin at secretary level with Pakistan. We agree that the past six months have been wasted because of the stupidity of the Prime Minister’s office, We must forget that. Now the criticism made by the opposition that Modi has lost his honour and he is forced to go back on his own words is absolutely misplaced. This is the time when not only India but the whole of Southern Asia must applaud Modi that he has abandoned his adamant behavior and is moving on the right path with humility. May be the credit should go to Kejriwal.

Wahatever it may be, this shunning of arrogance would give some shape to the sick and formless foreign policy of Modi. As I have said earlier as well that if in the next five years Modi is able to put forth a structure of common Market, common Parliament, rupee and common confederation in south Asia then he would be known as one of the best PM of India.
