| Ensure strict enforcement of Traffic Rules: DC Baramulla | | Traffic management plan reviewed | Baramulla, March 03, (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Talat Parveez today convened a meeting to review the implementation of traffic management plan in the district . Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, SSP Baramulla, SP Sopore, Officers from Police and Traffic Department and representatives of various trade Federations were present in the meeting .
During the meeting, a comprehensive plan for Traffic management in Baramulla, Sopore and Pattan was discussed. Key issues like widening of the road, identification of Bus stops, Separate Place for street vendors and enforcement of the traffic rules were thoroughly discussed. Use of Speed breakers and Zebra Crossing and removal of encroachments from the roads were the other important issues that were highlighted on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the Officers to ensure compliance of Traffic Rules and Laws and generating awareness among the stakeholders for checking accidents. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure proper check on use of mobile phones while driving and wrong parking of vehicles.
