Congress exploiting Afzal Guru to protect Mehr Tarar threats and Shashi Tharoor’s apology:Fayaz

Srinagar,March 03, (Scoop News)- The senior leader of BJP Fayaz Ahmad Bhat has expressed his deep anguish on Congress leaders who are exploiting statements of J&K leaders against BJP in the parliament and have launched full fledged campaign on the issue of return of remains of Afzal Guru.

In a statement Fayaz Ahmad Bhat said that Congress party should first explain the statement made on 9th February this year by Shashi Tharoor immediately after Mehr Tarar discussion started in one press conference. The congress should explain who authorized Shashi Tharoor to seek apology and if his apology is correct why Congress has not identified the persons for whom he was seeking apology on Afzal Guru Hanging. The congress should also explain international as well as at local level why they have not replied the statement made by Subramanian Swami about Mehr Tarar.

He said that the Congress should also explain the IPL connection of Srinivasan with those elements that are connected with Mehr Tarar and even caused harm to a Kashmir born Lady Sunanda Pushkar. He said when I was contesting parliament election against Dr. Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar and raked up the issue of Mehr Tarar, Shashi Tharoor’s connection with IPL, and J&K Cricket Scandal, Dr. Farooq Abdullah in a public speech threatened me and my leaders to be drowned in Jehlum and his recording of giving such threats on this issue is being projected in local and local media as well.

“it is unfortunate to cover up Mehr Tarar, Shashi Tharoor openly gave statement on Sensitive day of 9th February when separatist had given hartal call and That statement of was deliberate not for Shashi Tharoor’s love for Afzal Guru but covering Mehr Tarar for whom Subramaniam Swami had given full exposures. Therefore I advise local Congress and Congress leaders in centre not to exploit sentiments on the name of Afzal Guru and if they do so, they will be exposed before the public”, Fayaz said.
