Restoration under PHE, R&B sectors reviewed in Anantnag
Anantnag, March 04, (Scoop News)-To review the restoration and reconstruction of damaged infrastructure in Anantnag under PHE and R&B sector, a meeting was convened by the District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Tasaduq Jeelani here today.
It was given out in the meeting that 11 fully damaged bridges have been restored by way of constructions of diversions and 70% work on temporary restoration of partially damaged 43 bridges has been completed at a cost of Rs. 68.49 lakh against released amount of Rs. 518.37 lakhs, while connectivity to affected 322 km road length has been restored at a cost of Rs. 300.45 lakhs against a released amount of Rs. 630.89 lakhs under R&B sector in the district.
Besides, out of 290 damaged water supply schemes and 762 number of damaged water supply works, Rs. 430 lakh released under SDRF have been spent on temporary restoration of 290 damaged schemes and damaged water works under the PHE sector in the district so far.
Similarly under irrigation sector 415 different irrigation works were damaged out of which 366 works were temporarily restored at an expenditure of Rs.39.64 lakh out of the total released amount of Rs.144.00 lakh under SDRF during 2014-15 whileas work is under progress on 18 works. An amount of Rs. 675.09 lakh is required for completion of all damaged irrigation works in the district.
Under Flood Control sector, 690 damaged works on 5 nallahs were damaged in the district, out of which 336 works have been restored while 44 are under progress.
